1. Mataró, Barcelona
This is the generic mural that presents the campaign. It is painted in Mataró, Palmerola Street, one of the pioneering cities of this economic model. This space is symbolic since it is where the former company shop of the Radical Federalist Center was located, which fraudulently passed into the hands contrary to the cooperative movement during Franco's dictatorship.
2.Valls, Tarragona
The mural that opens the triad is located in Valls, Plaça de la Fusta, one of the entry points to the cooperative hub of the town. Since 2016, eight cooperatives have been born with the purpose of putting into practice mutual cooperation, one of the values of the cooperative movement. In 1888, the Agricultural and Credit Society of Valls was born, the oldest agricultural cooperative and the first to be signed in the Register of Cooperatives, which is still active.
3. Maldà, Lleida
This mural is in Maldà, a town of less than 250 inhabitants with several active cooperatives, including worker, housing and agricultural cooperatives. The last one is one of the oldest cooperatives in Lleida. This is a good example of the strong cooperative tradition of West Catalonia.
4. Palafrugell, Girona
The mural that closes the triad is set in Palafrugell, Girona. This town has historically a close bond with the cooperative movement. The park where the mural is painted is located by the current public library, which belongs to L’Econòmica Palafrugellenca, the first consumers’ cooperative in Catalonia.
