Harreman project / Inca Installation
When we think of industry, we inevitably think of machines, sirens, assembly lines, noise and smoke. However, the true essence of industry, and we are not only talking about the shoe industry here, but about all industries worldwide, is not the machinery but the actual workforce that makes it possible.
If machines are the body of industry, humans are their soul. In Inca, just as in many other industrial cities, a large number of men and women created a genuine work network that resulted in the birth of a new community of workers who ended up becoming a true family, sometimes even literally. In fact, the real driving force of the industry was the joint effort of a whole town, the residents of which worked hand in hand to boost the economy and the wellbeing of the region.
