"The Influencer". Mural about Adriaen van der Donck (17th century). Born in Boschstraat (Breda, NL), Adriaen made detailed accounts of the New Amsterdam local people, vegetation, animals, waterways, topography and climate. Van der Donck's knowledge actively promoted immigration to the colony (modern New York City).
This piece is part of the STRAAT KUNST MUSEUM collective exhibition commissioned by Blind Walls Gallery. Rob van Dijck, Willehad Eilers, ESPO, Handiedan, Joren Joshua, Otecki, Pink Painter, Rumbl, Rutger Termohlen, Super A and Reskate transform the walls of the Stedelijk Museum Breda with immersive murals, based on the people and stories of the Boschstraat, the street where we find the museum.
