“Knowledge is power.” Located in the Neulobeda district of Jena, Germany — a city famous for producing lenses — this intervention is part of a landscape‑architecture project to improve an area of modernist housing built during the German Democratic Republic.
It honours Jena’s optical industry while also referencing the city’s past, when vineyards once covered the nearby hills before being replaced by cereal fields. A global message to future generations in favour of research, respect for nature, self‑awareness, and knowledge of the past.
